DUBAI, 9th April, 2020 (WAM) — The United Arab Emirates national team won the Nat Al Sheba International Patel Championship, defeating Qatar 2-0 in the final of the first edition of the tournament. Proceedings of the tenth edition of Nat Al Sheba Sports Tournament.
Sheikh Zayed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Emirates Exchange Federation and Honorary President of the Arab Federation, presented the championship title to the UAE National Team in the presence of Zayed Hareb, Secretary General and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council. The organizing committee for the Nat Al Sheba Games, Emirates Exchange Federation Vice President Khalifa Youssef Khouri and Director Session Hassan Al Mazrouei.
Sheikh Zayed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum presented the championship trophy to Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai. It started with the Nat Al Sheba Games to reach a wider spread in the Emirates.
He thanked the players for their great efforts in all the matches and during the preparation period.
Sheikh Zayed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum praised the great success achieved by the first edition of the Nad Al Sheba International Paddle Championship and the strong positions presented by the participants. Time to come.
It is noteworthy that this is the second international victory for our team in the competitions held within the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, where our national team won the title of the first edition of the Gulf Exchange in the ninth edition of the tournament held in 2022. Defeated Qatar in the final and won the championship.
On the other hand, the curtain will fall on the volleyball matches at the Nat Al Sheba Games tomorrow where Al Jawarih and Zabeel will meet in the final of the tournament.
The two teams qualified for the final after defeating Emperor and Fahad Zabeel 3-0 and 3-1 respectively.
