DUBAI, 12th May, 2020 (WAM) — The UAE has topped several global indicators related to the labor market published by international organizations and institutions. .
According to the Global Prosperity Report 2023 published by the British Legatum Institute, the country ranks first in the world in the “ability to attract talent” index. “Work hours” in addition to the “low cost of layoffs” indicator in the World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) Global Innovation Index 2022 report.
The United Arab Emirates is ranked second in the world with five indicators in the “Global Competitiveness Yearbook Report 2022”, namely “Availability of skilled senior managers”, “Employment rate”, “Unemployment”, “Foreign workforce percentage” and “Force ratio”. working population.”
Commenting on the results, Her Excellency Noura Al Marzooqi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Policy and Strategy at the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, said: “The UAE’s leadership in many global indicators is the result of continuous national efforts to modernize. The legislative and legal system, improved infrastructure and a flexible and attractive environment to attract investments. He said, “We have set our sights on providing guaranteed ways to qualify and enable Emirati workers to join the labor market with strength and efficiency and to provide employment opportunities that will enable them to utilize their expertise in various priority sectors that will support the economy of the future.”

For his part, His Excellency Hanan Ahli, Director of the Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, said: “The United Arab Emirates has exceptional leadership, which is a global model and an important benchmark in global competitiveness. Achieved, its global leadership is represented in many indicators of global competitiveness related to the labor market. Very important The Global Competitiveness Report is a high-level international tribute to the UAE government’s high performance and flexibility in dealing with global changes.
He added: “We monitor 1502 competitive indicators in the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics in the most important global reports, and the UAE is among the top 10 countries in the world in 432 of these indicators, or about 30% of the global total. The indicators are ahead of many countries with a long history.” In terms of competitiveness, the UAE achieved first positions in the Arab world in 505 indicators out of a total of 505 global indicators, all of which have come as a result of great efforts. All government agencies and the private sector support the UAE’s competitiveness and strengthen the national economy, from human resources to trade and industry, tourism, education, health and other key sectors.
