The Ministry of Education and Technical Education has confirmed that the fourth class students will be assessed in Vocational, English and Science subjects on Tuesday, the second day of the Vocational Assessments for the second semester.
Dr. Tarek Shawki, Minister of Education and Technical Education, explained that the performance assignments for the fourth grade were not exams, but rather a function to measure comprehension and application skills in two sessions, not a measure of cognitive level.
The Ministry of Education and Technical Education said: Performance assignments will be from Monday 04/18/2022 to Wednesday 20/4/2022, the time to do the assignment is two sessions and the first mentor will select an action assignment. Every school (each one is special).
The Ministry pointed out that the evaluation of performance assignments within the school is an integral part of assessing students’ performance and their understanding of learning outcomes, and provides evidence of achieving targeted learning outcomes during the semester. Students can be assessed, and the teacher explains to students the nature of the work and the product the learner expects, and the performance tasks are explained to students by the teachers.
The ministry further said, “Students are evaluated for doing tasks naturally without selection committees or seat numbers, but for student work in the classroom under the supervision of the course teacher.”
