Hair loss is a problem that worries many people, but experts have revealed that there are certain foods that can help stop hair loss.
A nutritionist revealed 4 key foods that she said can help stop pesky hair loss and promote hair growth.
While some types of hair loss, such as male and female pattern baldness, are permanent, others are only temporary.
Between illness and stress, there are many factors that can lead to hair loss.
According to the British “Express” website, the good news is that certain foods can interfere with and improve hair health.
A healthy diet is known to be important when fighting or preventing various diseases, the paper said.
Nutritionist Abbas Kinani says there are four foods that are most effective when it comes to hair loss, choosing these good foods can help boost sebum production and stop hair loss.
Sweet potatoes, spinach, fatty fish and eggs
He said the most promising foods are sweet potatoes, spinach, fatty fish and eggs.
These foods naturally contain vitamin D, which aids in hair growth and reduces hair loss by supporting the glands on the scalp to produce an oily substance called sebum.
Sebum helps keep the scalp hydrated, which promotes hair growth and stops hair fall, he said.
According to Russia Today, the expert recommended choosing about 140 grams of fatty fish (salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel) at least once a week.
“If you don’t like these four foods, there are other ways to boost your hair health,” she said, adding that another food group recommends nuts and meat because they’re rich in a B vitamin called biotin.
“Biotin helps produce keratin, a protein that helps strengthen hair and prevent damage to its follicles,” she said.
Brazil nuts are especially beneficial because they contain selenium, which promotes the hair growth cycle to function properly and is used in many hair loss remedies.
Other beneficial foods include bell peppers, guava, broccoli and citrus fruits.
The expert, Kanani, noted that it is rich in vitamin C, an antioxidant that reduces stress on hair follicles caused by free radicals, and vitamin C builds collagen, an amino acid that acts as a building block for thick and healthy hair. .
He pointed out that severe deficiency of vitamin C can cause anemia and one of its side effects is hair loss.
