In the ninth round of qualifying for the Euro 2024 finals in Germany, the “substitutes” of the Spanish national team easily beat their Cypriot hosts by three goals to one on Thursday.

La Roja national team coach Luis de la Fuente entered the tournament with a completely different form from previous matches, after ensuring the team’s qualification for the final, he deliberately brought in a large number of substitutes and rested his key players.

Lamin Yamal, Mikel Oyazabal and Joselu scored hat-tricks in the 5th, 22nd and 28th minutes respectively to give Spain the lead before Costas Bliss scored the only goal in the 75th minute.

Austria leads the group with 19 points, Belgium is second with 17 points, Sweden (7 points), Azerbaijan (7 points) and Estonia (1 point) are in third place.

In Group Seven, Hungary qualified for the Euro 2024 finals by drawing with hosts Bulgaria after Spaz Deliv and Kirill Despotov scored for the hosts in the 24th and 79th minutes respectively.

Martin Adam and Bulgarian Alex Petkov scored through mistakes for the visitors in the 10th minute, 7+90 minutes of the match.

Hungary leads the ranking with 15 points, followed by Serbia (13 points), Montenegro (11 points), Lithuania (6 points) and Bulgaria (3 points).
