Garmin is introducing two new smartwatches, one of which is battery-free

Garmin has announced the launch of the new Instinct 2X Solar and Instinct 2X Tactical smartwatches.

The US company said that the Instinct 2X Solar smartwatch has unlimited battery life thanks to solar cells and the new Instinct 2X Tactical smartwatch offers many useful functions including a bright LED light.

The new Instinct 2X smartwatch has a diameter of 50mm, a relatively wide band of 26mm and a body made of fiber reinforced polymer and is water resistant up to 10 ATM.

The new smartwatch is 14.5 mm thick and weighs no more than 67 grams and includes a 1.1-inch MiP screen with a resolution of 176 x 176 pixels and cannot display colors.

Solar cells

Garmin has integrated solar cells directly into the screen, and the smartwatch doesn’t need to be charged until it’s exposed to 50,000 lux bright daylight for three hours a day, but if not exposed to daylight, the battery charge will last 40. days in normal use and 27 days when using multi-band GPS or 60 days in GPS survey mode.

Garmin pointed out that the built-in LED glows white or red, and the brightness can be set to 4 levels. The new smartwatch supports contactless payment functionality through the Garmin Pay function, and apps can be downloaded from the Connect IQ store. .

The new smart watch offers many functions such as measuring heart rate, SpO2 sensor, monitoring sleep characteristics and several sports applications.

The Instinct 2X Tactical Edition has many useful features such as night vision functionality; In stealth mode, GPS data is masked and all wireless communications are cut off.
