Groundbreaking Social App “SureSpace” Debuts in Dubai to End Doomscrolling and Restore Real Connection

SureSpace, a new social networking platform based in Dubai, has officially launched with the aim of tackling the global mental health challenges linked to harmful social media use. Marketed as more than just another app, SureSpace positions itself as a digital revolution built on a community-first ethos, right in the heart of the UAE.

The Reality of Doomscrolling – and SureSpace’s Response

Recent figures highlight the seriousness of the problem: 46% of millennials and 53% of Gen Z adults regularly engage in doomscrolling, while 16.5% of adults show “severely problematic” patterns of news consumption. Studies also reveal that doomscrolling is associated with a 29% fall in overall life satisfaction and a 29.6% lower level of mental well-being. SureSpace has been designed to address this, providing a safe, verified environment for authentic social connection.

Why SureSpace Stands Out

Unlike existing platforms that rely on algorithms to maximise screen time, SureSpace removes manipulative feeds altogether. The app combines personal and professional networking, presenting itself as the world’s first verified safe space that unites both areas. In essence, it offers a blend of LinkedIn and Instagram — but focused on human connection.

Key Features:

  •  Hybrid platform for personal and professional connections within a verified community
  • Safe space supported by AI moderation tools and human oversight to prevent trolling, bullying, and judgement
  • Algorithm-free design with no feeds created to keep users scrolling
  • Emphasis on authentic conversations rather than performative posting
  • Mental health-focused, built to reduce stress and anxiety

Excitement Among Early Users

Feedback from beta testers has been overwhelmingly positive:

  • “SureSpace is very easy to use and straightforward.”
  • “I feel less stressed knowing I am in a safe space that is moderated.”
  • “I bypass what I don’t like. With SureSpace, I don’t have to do this.”

Launch Event Details

The official launch event will take place on 25 September 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (Asia/Dubai), at the Dubai Technology Entrepreneur Campus – DTEC, Building A5, Technohub 1, Dubai Silicon Oasis, near Axiom HQ and RIT University. Attendance is free with RSVP at https://sure-space.com/etn/surespace-app-launch/. The app will also be available for download across the UAE on both iOS and Android from the same date.

The Visionary Behind the Platform

SureSpace is the creation of founder Anish Suri, a Dubai-based serial entrepreneur whose own experiences with mental health difficulties inspired him to establish a socially responsible, community-first app. Holding a Master’s in Business with Enterprise and Innovation from the University of Edinburgh and with extensive expertise in digital transformation, Suri has focused his career on developing meaningful platforms. “We are building a space where people can connect creatively and socially in a meaningful way,” Suri explains. “There is a real gap in the market, and we are excited to fill it. In a world where technology often prioritizes engagement metrics over human well-being, I am committed to creating platforms that put people first.”

A New Take on Networking

By merging professional and personal networking in one verified system, SureSpace removes the divide found on other platforms. Users are able to develop professional ties while also engaging with hobby groups and communities, all within a safe and authentic setting. From entrepreneurs to creatives and professionals, the app ensures connections are genuine and valuable.

Cutting-Edge Safety Technology

Toxic behaviour, trolling, and harassment are addressed through a dual-layer safety system of AI moderation supported by human reviewers. This approach prevents harmful interactions in real time and allows users to participate in the community with confidence. “We have created what many thought was impossible, a truly safe online space where authenticity thrives and toxicity cannot survive,” says Suri.

Join the Movement

SureSpace is positioning itself not only as an app, but as a movement. “The end of doomscrolling. The start of real connection.” — more than just a tagline, this is a commitment to restore authentic social interactions in an increasingly disconnected world.
