England national team right-back Bugayo Saka has scored a personal hat-trick against the North Macedonian national team.
England host North Macedonia at Old Trafford Stadium in the fourth round of the 2024 European Nations Cup qualifiers.
Sakha contributed to the Three Lions’ 7-0 crushing victory to move top of Group C with 12 points from their tally.
“Of course, I will remember this day for the rest of my life,” Saga told BBC Radio 5.
“It was a special evening, a great win and, of course, my first individual hat-trick, which is definitely very special,” explained the owner of the number 7 shirt.
Sakha was asked what he would do with the match ball awarded to him for scoring a hat-trick.
The Arsenal star replied: “I’ll put it in a frame, but I’ll carry it in my hands for a few days before I do.”
Saka achieved his feat with the England national team, where he has played 28 international matches since 2020, scoring 11 goals.
The 21-year-old commented: “It’s a decent record. Of course, there’s always room for improvement, but I’m happy with the games I’ve played for England and I want to prove to the coach why he is there. Trust me.”
