Some Spanish press reports have revealed that Real Madrid club management have decided to sack Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti if Paris Saint-Germain are left out of the European Champions League.

And the Spanish “Oak Diary” website confirmed that the Real Madrid management had no intention of sacking Ancelotti if Paris Saint-Germain failed and were eliminated in the return match.

The site pointed out that Real Madrid had lost to Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-finals of the Kings Cup and that it had been eliminated, unlike Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat with a goal in the first leg of the 16th round. As the team’s position has deteriorated over the past few matches, some voices have arisen that Ancelotti should be removed.

Real Madrid showed excellent play against the big clubs, and the site added that it wasted many points against midfielders such as Levante, Else, Cadiz and Osasuna and that the defeat of Getafe and Espanyol was a controversial issue.

The site confirmed that Real Madrid management have high hopes for Ancelotti, with a positive result against Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg of the 16th round on March 10 in Bernabeu.
