Raspberry confit meets aromatic basil, wrapped in white chocolate kataifi and finished with vanilla ice cream. That’s the composition Blume Restaurant will serve to every female guest who walks through its doors on Saturday, March 8.
No purchase required. No minimum spend. Just turn up.
The Dubai-based restaurant—which operates locations at Dubai Mall and Dubai Marina—has designed the Raspberry Mousse specifically for International Women’s Day, offering it complimentary from opening until close at both branches. It’s available whether guests order a full meal or simply stop by for the dessert itself.
The all-day offer runs from 10am to 2am at the Dubai Mall branch on Fashion Avenue’s fourth level, and from 9am to midnight at the Marina Walk location in District 8. Blume’s culinary team built the dessert around contrasts: tart raspberry against sweet basil, crisp kataifi against smooth ice cream, bold flavour against delicate presentation.
A metaphor? Probably.
Across Dubai’s competitive dining scene, International Women’s Day typically brings a wave of restaurant promotions—some more substantive than others. Blume’s approach centres on a single, specific gesture rather than discounts or themed menus. The dessert itself took weeks to develop, according to details shared by the restaurant, with the basil confit element added to provide an unexpected herbal note that cuts through the raspberry’s natural sweetness.
Blume positions itself as a luxury dining destination inspired by the Silk Road, blending Mediterranean, Japanese, and international cuisines in what it calls a “garden-to-table experience.” The interiors lean heavily into botanical design—lush greenery, panoramic terraces, train-inspired architectural details that nod to the historical trade route.
Both locations will honour the offer simultaneously. No reservation necessary, though the restaurant notes that tables can be booked via its website or by calling the central number. Walk-ins welcome.
The Raspberry Mousse won’t appear on Blume’s regular menu after March 8. It’s a one-day creation, built specifically for the occasion, then retired. Whether that makes it more or less meaningful depends on perspective—a fleeting tribute or a genuine moment of acknowledgment in a market where gestures often blur into marketing.
For female diners in Dubai on Saturday, the calculation is simple: two locations, all day, free dessert. The layers—raspberry, basil, chocolate, kataifi—do the rest of the talking.
