Liverpool beat Milan, Mohamed Salah breaks Samuel Eto’o’s record

Liverpool defeated its Italian guest, AC Milan, 3/2, in the first round of Group B of the European Football Championship today, Wednesday.

Liverpool advanced with a goal from Milan defender Ficayo Domori in the ninth minute, while Croatian Andre Rebic equalized for Milan in the 42nd minute.

After Spaniard Brahim Dias scored the second goal in the 44th minute, Italy finished the first half in their favor.

In the 49th minute, Mohamed Salah equalized for Liverpool, while Jordan Henderson scored the winning goal in the 69th minute with a powerful shot that shook the Italian team.

Mohamed Salah missed a penalty in the 12th minute of the match, his first goal against England in 2017 after missing another kick against Huddersfield Town.

With his 49th-minute goal, Salah scored his third consecutive goal with Liverpool this season, confirming the record for all-time goalscorers for Liverpool with 26 goals in the Champions League.

Salah reached 29th place in the Champions League with all the teams he played for (Switzerland, Chelsea and Rome, Italy), where he scored one goal with Basel, two goals with Roma and 26 goals with Liverpool.

With 44 goals, Salah has a goal equal to that of Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o, who is the second highest African player in European competition led by Ivorian Didier Troika.
