The Italian national team, announced by coach Roberto Mancini on Friday for the play-offs for the European qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has left “naughty” striker Mario Bolotelli, who wanted the Brazilian-born Cochlear striker. Joao Pedro.

Mancini invited Turkish Adana striker Demirsboro to training camp for European champions in January, three years after the black striker’s last international appearance.

After getting the green light to represent the Italian national team, the 31-year-old’s call-up to the team, which also includes Joao Pedro, came as a surprise.

Many believed that Balotelli would be part of the team competing on the third track of the Continental Playoffs, which will face northern Macedonia in Palermo on the 24th of this month, and if a guest wins against Portugal or Turkey on the 29th, Balotelli will be. That, in turn, will determine the identity of the final cardholder.

After falling to Sweden in the play-offs four years ago, Italy wished not to miss the final for the second time in a row.

Italy were the direct qualifiers for the final after a strong start in the qualifying rounds and were crowned European champions, but it drew 1-1 at home and the last two rounds against Northern Ireland at Belfast in Belfast. Without goals, it finished second in Group C behind Switzerland.

The 33-man squad includes four players of Brazilian descent, Joao Pedro and Lazio defender Luis Felipe, who were recently granted Italian citizenship, in addition to last summer’s European champions Jorgenho and Emerson Palmeri.
