Honor unveiled the Magic V foldable smartphone at an event in China, and it is the company’s first foldable smartphone, and integrates with existing foldable devices on the market, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and OPPO Find N, according to Digital Trend Technology Report.

It has a 6.45-inch screen with a 21: 9 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1080 resolution and 120Hz update rate. The chassis is 72mm wide and 160mm high, with small bezels around the outer screen at a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Honor claims that the special glass makes the exterior display more durable, and it showed that the phone was lowered from shoulder height without any damage.

Folding the Honor V Magic, you’ll find a 7.9-inch screen with a 10: 9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2272 x 1984 pixels. The layer above the screen features 1920Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) to reduce reflection and reduce eye strain.

Honor says the closed Magic V is seamless and 14.3mm thick and 6.7mm thick when open. The hinge contains 213 components and folds the screen like a teardrop, ensuring the slim look of the phone, and it is said to last 50 years without getting tired, up to 50 times a day.

On the back of the Magic V are three cameras, each covered by curved glass, with a resolution of 50 megapixels, as well as selfie cameras on the inner and outer screens, each with a resolution of 42 megapixels.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8Gen1 processor and comes with a 4,750mAh dual cell battery, which is recharged using a 66W fast charging system. Dual speakers, HDR10 + and DTSX, the fingerprint sensor is installed inside the power key on the side, and the device is available in three different colors: silver, black or orange. Honor was once part of Huawei, but was sold by the company to ensure its survival subject to restrictions imposed by the US government.

Since then it has introduced several new smartphones such as the Honor 50, which includes all Google services and a Qualcomm chip installed.
