Motorola, on the other hand, wears a 5G neckline designed to lighten lightweight virtual and augmented reality headsets (headphones XR) such as the Lenovo Tingreality A3 smart glasses.

According to Engadget, the device has a rectangular shape underneath a large plastic rope. The device comes with a Snapdragon 8Gen1 processor, 5,000mAh battery, touchpad, SIM card slot, speakers and several sensors including a gyroscope and accelerometer.

Motorola has teamed up with Verizon to develop a product capable of connecting to the carrier’s mmWave 5G network. Motorola hopes that this product will become a “separate host” for VR or AR specs (headphones).

By removing components such as powerful processors and heavier batteries, VR / AR headsets can be made lighter and more comfortable to wear. It features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon VR operating system, Microsoft Remote Network interface, and USB-C and DP1.4 interfaces. The price and release date of the product are not yet known.
