Nominations for the seventh edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Women’s Sports are closing

The organizing committee for the seventh edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Awards, organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Academy in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, announced the nomination process for nominations for the award. , which ran from June 20 to September 10, was met with overwhelming response. A large number of participants from the Emirates and Arab countries won the award, which is considered the biggest in the Middle East.

The winners of the award will be announced on November 15, 2023 at a ceremony in the capital city of Abu Dhabi. Prosperity for Women in Sport aims to highlight the experiences of women in sport in particular and empowering women in the field of sport, and seeks to increase the role of women in the framework of empowerment efforts in general, and to honor outstanding women. in sports in recognition of their contributions and achievements in various local, regional, continental and international sports competitions and forums.

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Sports for Women is not limited to certain categories, but has been extended to include sports mothers as a new category in its seventh edition.

In addition to the diversity and appreciation of sports initiatives aimed at developing female youth and the well-known award categories of outstanding Emirati athletes, the award is also interested in creative initiatives that contribute to the greater development of women’s sports. Emerging Athlete, Strong Women’s Athlete of the Year, Male and Female Coach of the Year, Sports Journalist of the Year.

The seventh edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Sports for Women has a total prize fund of Dh1.8 million.
