It’s been a while since the OnePlus Nord 3 was rumored. The phone was expected last year and never arrived. Instead, OnePlus has decided to launch another OnePlus Nord 2 variant. This year, it looks like we’re finally going to see the OnePlus Nord 3 in all its glory. While there is no official launch date for the phone, it continues to circulate through rumours. Today, a big leak about this much-anticipated mid-range phone has leaked. A group Leaked photos Show the phone, retail box, some Nord cards and charger. It leaves nothing to the imagination, and I’m not talking about Carl Pei.
OnePlus Nord 3 Specifications
Rumors point to the Nord 3 being a rebranded Ace series smartphone. We removed that option when OnePlus renamed the OnePlus Ace 2 as the OnePlus 11R. Next, the company unveiled the ambitious OnePlus Ace 2V, which ditches the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in favor of a Dimensity 9000 CPU. With the launch of this phone in China, we have our answer. Now, a new leak confirms the similarities between the OnePlus Nord 3 and the OnePlus Ace 2V. We have all the “Nord” branding to differentiate this device and some of the specs are a little different.
The alleged OnePlus Nord 3 was spotted with its retail box. The phone looks similar to the OnePlus Ace 2 on the front and back. The black box houses the OnePlus Nord 3 5G variant and offers blue “Nord” branded cards. According to the leaked specifications, it also includes a charging brick that offers 80W fast charging.
The OnePlus Nord 3 is said to come with a 50MP camera instead of the 64MP camera found on the Ace 2V. Other specifications like the chipset, up to 16GB of RAM and a 5,000mAh battery are similar. The phone has a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels.
Even the photo confirms Warning Slider, which is due to Nord series and infrared sensor. The IR Blaster is new to OnePlus devices and seems to be targeting other brands like Redmi and POCO for their users. OnePlus Nord 3 will definitely run on OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13.
There is no word yet on when the Nord 3 will be released, however, considering all these leaks, we expect the date to be released soon.
