Investing.com – German stocks were lower at the close on Wednesday , , and .

At the close of trade in Frankfurt, it closed down by 0.15%, while it fell by around 0.58% and weakened by 0.20%.

Among the leading stocks today were BES FSE (ETR: ), which was up 4.43% or 2.02 points to settle at 47.60 at the close. On the other hand, Mtu Aero Engines Holding AG (ETR:) was up 1.82% or 3.35 points to settle at 187.55. Covestro AG (ETR: ) rose 1.71% or 0.86 points to trade at 51.04 at the end of the session.

Given the weak performance at the end of today’s trade, the shares were closed Siemens Energy AG (ETR: ) declined 3.20% or 0.34 points to trade at 10.28 at the close. Arrow Jalando S.E (ETR: ) declined 1.84% or 0.38 points to 20.32 and Mercedes Benz Group AG (ETR: ) declined 1.56% or 0.98 points to 61.74.

On the other hand, the best performers on the MDAX index were recorded by Encavis AG (ETR: ), which rose 3.51% to 13.72, while Lanxess (ETR: ), which gained 3.01% to close at 27.00. Arupis AG (ETR: ) rose about 2.29% to trade at 74.92.

Among the weak performers today we note shares of SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ), which fell 9.58% to close the session at 51.90. Delivery Hero AG (ETR: ), which lost 5.97% at a price of 28.41 shares RTL Group S.A (ETR: ), which lost 3.31% to close at 31.50 in today’s session on the stock market.

On the other hand, the best performing stocks in the TecDAX technical index were recorded Hensolt AG (ETR: ), which was up 2.11% at 24.16, CompuGroup Medical AG (ETR:) rose 2.09% to end at 35.22, and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) gained 1.42% to end trading at 5.73.

Among the weak performers today, we note SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ), which fell 9.58% to close the session at 51.90, which lost Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR: ), which lost 5.90% to 26.14, and Carl Zeiss Medi ( ETR:), weakened by 1.62% to close at 92.08 in today’s session.

The number of decliners outnumbered those that closed higher in trade on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, with 368 compared to 254, unchanged at 38.

Shares of SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR: ) declined 9.58% or 5.50 points to trade at 51.90, hitting a 52-week low. Shares of RTL Group SA (ETR:) hit a 52-week low and declined 3.31% or 1.08 points to trade at 31.50. SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) fell to a 52-week low, losing 9.58% or 5.50 points to trade at 51.90. Shares of Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) declined 5.90% or 1.64 points to hit a 3-year low at 26.14.

Options on the DAX 30 index, which measures the implied standard deviation, traded up 1.20% to close at 13.51.

Gold futures for February delivery rose 0.22%, or 4.40, to settle at $1,997.60 an ounce. In other commodities trading, WTI crude oil futures for January delivery rose 1.38% or 0.95 to settle at $69.56 a barrel, while the February contract for Brent oil futures was up 1.43% or 1.05 points. and closed at $74.29 per barrel.

The EUR/USD pair was steady at 0.00% and traded at 1.08 levels, while the EUR/GBP pair was unchanged at 0.26% to reach 0.86 levels.

Dollar index contracts traded down 0.04% at 103.42.
