Brazilian President Jair Bolsanaro told the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday that his government opposes health certification but supports vaccination campaigns against Covit-19..

“We support vaccination efforts,” said Polsonaro, who has been widely criticized for handling the epidemic in Brazil, where the epidemic has killed more than 590,000 people.

“But my administration does not support a vaccine, health certificate or any other commitment related to the vaccine,” he said in his New York speech.

After General Secretary Antonio Guterres opened the meeting with a speech, it was customary for the first speaker in Brazil to be Paulsonaro, since it was customary to speak first..

Bolzano said he was “the last Brazilian” to receive the vaccine, but assured delegates that Brazil’s vaccination program was progressing at a rapid pace..

He explained that his government had distributed more than 260 million doses, and that more than 140 million Brazilians, or nearly 90% of adults, had received at least one dose of the vaccine..

He added that 80% of the Brazilian population had received the full vaccine.

“By November this year, all citizens who choose to get vaccinated in Brazil will receive it,” he said.

The far-right leader has sparked controversy by promoting unproven treatment against COVID-19. He himself became infected last year.

“Since the outbreak, we have supported the doctor’s professional freedom in seeking initial treatment in accordance with the recommendations made by the Brazilian Federal Council of Medicine,” he told deputies.

Polsano violated the rules that only vaccines are allowed to participate in the assembly.

Bolsanaro did not comply with New York regulations to control the spread of the virus, including issuing vaccination certificates to enter multiple locations, including restaurants. Eating a slice of pizza outside on Sunday during Sunday dinner.
