PS5 sales hit a new milestone. Sony announced today that it has sold 50 million copies since its launch in late 2020, which is considered an impressive performance so far.

This number shows how much PS5 sales have increased, as Sony announced in July that it sold more than 40 million units. This may have to do with the increased availability of PS5 devices after supply issues led to a decrease in the number of devices. In stores themselves, and PlayStation thanked all gamers for their continued support of the platform by ensuring everyone has a large stock to purchase on their platform.

“We're grateful to all of our players who have joined the PS5 journey thus far, and we're excited that this is the first holiday season since we've delivered an adequate and complete inventory of PS5 consoles.”

PS5 sales have reached 50 million units, and with this big number, sales are considered a week shorter than PS4, but until it reaches the same figure, it is still an amazing achievement, especially with the restrictions we have seen with Covid. -19 virus crisis.

As the newspaper pointed out Financial TimesAnalyst data from Ampere Analysis showed that PlayStation sales rose 65 percent this year to 22.5 million copies, outpacing sales of the Switch and Xbox, which fell 18 percent and 15 percent, respectively. This indicates that Sony is on track to reach its target of selling 25 million devices by March 2024.

Dear reader, do you think that the PlayStation 5 platform will achieve the desired goal?
