During his tenure as a member of the Security Council, the United Arab Emirates declared a “strong commitment to our union” during its tenure from 2022-2023, including maintaining peace throughout its tenure, improving inclusiveness, regression and inciting innovation. He added: “Diplomacy is about accepting dialogue, trying to understand different perspectives and paving the way for consensus.

Accordingly, when we are a member of the Security Council, we will try to bridge the gap between ideas, and the Council must have a unified voice, with its decisions receiving overwhelming support. The United Nations as a whole is committed to building bridges, strengthening multilateral action, and implementing the Council’s mandate.

The United Arab Emirates, as an elected member of the Security Council, is committed to identifying areas of reconciliation among its members for the full implementation of the Council’s mandate.

And the United Arab Emirates seeks to represent not only the Arab voice in the Council, but all other member states of the United Nations, i.e. strengthening cooperation with regional organizations, particularly the League of Arab States and the African Union.

The United Arab Emirates also promises to advocate for issues that interfere with other issues on the Council, including women, peace and security, climate change and the use of technology to promote peace. Terrorism, the issue of responding to and recovering from the Govt-19 epidemic.

The United Arab Emirates will chair the Security Council twice during its membership, in March 2022 and June 2023. The chairman of the council, which changes on a monthly basis, sets the agenda of the council and chairs its permanent committees.
