The Sharjah Documents call for the preservation of the Emirate’s history in the “World Archives”.

The Sharjah Archives and Archives Commission, in conjunction with World Archives Week activities, has launched the “You Archive” campaign to target various members of the community, preserve the treasures of the Emirate’s history and provide a realistic and vivid picture. The memory of the motherland is in their hearts and minds, in a move that restores the connection between generations, by telling a unique story of thought, originality and culture.
The campaign reflects the authority’s efforts to enrich the archive balance by collecting and preserving the archives of the Emirate of Sharjah and the state, improving their availability to decision makers and the community, and inviting the public to share power with their own documents. The emirate reflects its past and pushes its future wheel towards further growth, development and prosperity, advancing the course of its present.
Asma Nasser, Director of the Department of Documents and Archives, announced that the Commission follows the approach of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member and Ruler of the Supreme Council for Security and Documentation, History and Sharjah. Preserving the history, identity and roots of the Emirate by archiving all kinds of history.
