Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who is under the administration of Donald Trump, has commented on US President Joe Biden’s planned visit and meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

It came on Pompeo’s tweet on his official Twitter page, where he said: “The Saudi leader (Mohammed bin Salman), who did not respond to Biden’s calls, has been working to build peace and prosperity for his country.

Pompeo continued, “Biden’s failure to recognize the truth puts our children at risk.”

In a separate tweet, the former US Secretary of State continued: “Biden is going to Bethlehem, Israel to meet with Mahmoud Abbas, the brutal leader of the Palestinian Authority who supports terrorism … meetings.”

A statement from Saudi Arabia’s royal court said, “King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s generous invitation to strengthen historic bilateral relations and the prestigious strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia. With a common desire to promote them in the United States, and in all sectors, President Joe Biden will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 15-16.

At the same time, the White House announced that Biden would begin a foreign tour of Israel, the West Bank and then Saudi Arabia from July 13-16, beginning in the Middle East.
