German Kroos suffered a stomach problem that kept him out of the last two matches against Elche and Osasuna, while France’s Tkomane picked up a cold and missed the previous match during the two-goal win over Osasuna.
The list of absentees also included left-back Ferland Mendy and substitute striker Mariano Diaz, and coach Carlo Ancelotti replaced him with rookie striker Alvaro Rodriguez, who grabbed the spotlight with two goals against Osasuna.
Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti’s roster includes 4 players in the youth team (Castilla): Rodriguez, midfielders Mario Martin and Arepas and goalkeeper Luis Lopez.
