42 Abu Dhabi, the capital’s pioneering coding academy, has successfully wrapped up its first-ever Techpreneur Summit, uniting students, partners, and industry leaders to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-led solutions with long-term social value.

Supporting Abu Dhabi’s wider ambition to build a thriving knowledge and innovation ecosystem, the Summit served as a collaborative meeting point where learners could engage directly with investors, business leaders, and entrepreneurship organisations. Early-stage, learner-built ventures tackling real-world issues in sectors such as sustainability, healthcare, digital services, education, and community engagement were also showcased.

A highlight of the programme was HACK4IMPACT, a social innovation hackathon delivered in partnership with Athar+, Abu Dhabi’s platform for accelerating purpose-driven innovation. Inspired by the UAE’s Year of Community, the initiative encouraged participants to design socially impactful technological solutions and supported teams in progressing ideas into validated prototypes.

Dr Ahmed Al Shoaibi, Acting CEO of 42 Abu Dhabi, said:”Entrepreneurship has become an essential extension of the learning journey at 42 Abu Dhabi. By combining peer-to-peer education with entrepreneurial exposure, we enable learners to transform practical skills into real ventures that address national priorities. The Techpreneur Summit provides an environment where ideas are challenged, supported, and strengthened by the wider ecosystem.”

Ten learner-founded start-ups were exhibited as part of the Summit, each presented through dedicated innovation pods. The showcase prioritised impact over technology, demonstrating solutions designed to improve hospital workflows, support SMEs with AI-enabled efficiency, accelerate ocean and marine conservation, advance peer learning models, and streamline public information access.

Together, the projects illustrated how 42 Abu Dhabi learners are tackling challenges across sectors including healthcare prioritisation, environmental resilience, business competitiveness, education, cybersecurity alignment, and public service enhancement.

The Summit also included three partnership signings with the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM), Khalifa Innovation Centre (KIC), and Infinia, reinforcing 42 Abu Dhabi’s commitment to expanding pathways for research collaboration, talent development, and entrepreneurial capability-building.

Attendees were further supported by advisory clinics run by Visionaries, AB Consultancy, the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, and Infinia. The sessions provided guidance on venture acceleration, market positioning, investment readiness, and sustainable business development.

The Summit represents part of 42 Abu Dhabi’s mission to cultivate entrepreneurial capabilities among learners and prepare them to contribute to the UAE’s vision of a diversified, innovation-driven economy. Through hands-on mentorship, strategic partnerships, and a focus on solving real-world challenges, the academy continues to nurture future tech leaders ready to drive national progress.
