Gensler has announced the completion of The NEST, Schneider Electric’s 10,000m² flagship office in Dubai — a transformative workplace designed to redefine the future of work in the region.

Located in Dubai Silicon Oasis, the pioneering space integrates sustainability, smart technologies, and people-centric design to create a dynamic model for the next generation of commercial environments.

Serving as Schneider Electric’s first regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa, The NEST also marks the company’s first-ever Impact Building. The multifunctional hub seamlessly combines workspace, innovation facilities, and training centres into a single ecosystem designed to promote collaboration, flexibility, and creativity.

A standout feature is the Innovation Hub — an interactive space where clients, partners, and visitors can experience Schneider Electric’s latest technologies across varied settings, including homes, offices, and data centres. This immersive environment underlines Schneider Electric’s global leadership in smart, sustainable solutions.

The building has earned SmartScore Platinum certification, the highest international standard for smart building performance. It is also pursuing LEED ID+C Platinum and WELL Equity certifications, placing The NEST among the region’s most sustainable and inclusive workplaces.

Jose Faine, Design Director and Principal, Gensler Middle East, said:
“With The NEST, we set out to create more than an office – we designed a living, breathing ecosystem that embodies the future of work. Our approach focused on fusing technology, sustainability, and human experience to deliver a space that is not only smart and efficient, but also inclusive and inspiring. The NEST is a first-of-its-kind in the region and a project we are incredibly proud to celebrate alongside Schneider Electric.”

Home to more than 1,000 employees, The NEST fosters an environment built to connect, inspire, and empower. By uniting Schneider Electric’s regional teams under one roof, the space encourages cross-functional collaboration and places sustainable innovation at the forefront.

As the inaugural project in Schneider Electric’s Global Impact Buildings Programme, The NEST represents far more than a headquarters — it serves as a global benchmark for the future of smart, sustainable workplaces.

For Gensler, this achievement reflects more than just design excellence. It underscores the studio’s mission to reimagine workplace experiences, crafting human-centred spaces that champion sustainability and shape the future of urban living across the Middle East and beyond.
