Aligned with Dubai’s Green Mobility Strategy 2030 and the rising demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable logistics, the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), continues to spotlight leading local and international companies driving green mobility across land, sea, and air.

Through its dedicated Green Mobility Hall, WETEX 2025 highlighted cutting-edge advances in hydrogen technologies, low-emission fuels, and artificial intelligence (AI) applications designed to boost EV adoption and strengthen the development of essential infrastructure, large-scale projects, and EV charging networks.

“In line with the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and the National Electric Vehicles Policy – and in response to the rapid expansion of the EV market in the UAE and around the world – WETEX plays a pivotal role annually in promoting competitiveness among companies specialising in the EV sector. By attracting the latest technologies, expertise and best practices that significantly reduce the costs of EVs and batteries, WETEX not only enhances the sector’s performance but also strengthens its position against traditional transport, ultimately advancing energy and resource efficiency,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.

AI-powered mobility innovations

At this year’s exhibition, WETEX showcased pioneering solutions from companies leveraging AI and generative AI to address the key challenges of sustainable mobility. These innovations accelerate EV production, improve safety standards, and pave the way for smarter, more interactive, and eco-conscious vehicles that optimise resource use. Such breakthroughs promise to drive meaningful and transformative progress in the growing green mobility sector.

DEWA’s EV Green Charger initiative

DEWA presented its EV Green Charger programme at the exhibition, which features state-of-the-art infrastructure comprising over 1,500 charging points distributed across DEWA’s network and licensed charge point operators (CPOs).

In a landmark collaboration with ENOC Group, DEWA has supported the Service Station of the Future (SSoF) at Expo City, Dubai. This station is the first in the region to offer green hydrogen alongside hydrocarbon fuels (petrol and diesel) and electric charging points. DEWA also produces green hydrogen at its pilot facility at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, reinforcing its leadership in advancing clean energy initiatives.
