Planet Ocean Underwater Hotels Launches UAE Engagement Drive to Advance Global Eco-Tourism and Marine Restoration

Planet Ocean Underwater Hotels has announced a new initiative aimed at engaging communities and organisations across the UAE in its Global Alliance Collaborator (GAC) programme. The initiative seeks to connect participants from 50 U.S. states with 50 partner nations, supporting the rollout of movable underwater hotels at 33 destinations around the globe.

The programme builds on Planet Ocean’s U.S. Patent-approved concept for eco-luxury underwater hotels, each featuring 26 guest suites positioned approximately 30 feet below the surface to provide panoramic views of surrounding marine life. Alongside its tourism appeal, the project integrates coral reef restoration using Biorock technology to enhance biodiversity and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability.

“Our vision is to create opportunities for collaboration between nations while protecting fragile marine environments,” said Tony Webb, founder of Planet Ocean Underwater Hotels, LLC. “By inviting participation from the Emirates, we see alignment with regional strategies such as Dubai’s D33 Agenda and Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030.”

As part of its UAE engagement efforts, Planet Ocean is encouraging local organisations to help raise awareness about how individuals and businesses can get involved in the GAC programme and related projects. The company has highlighted the potential for significant job creation in resort and hotel operations, as well as opportunities for regional media groups to play a role in amplifying awareness.

Planet Ocean stresses that the programme is designed to foster community involvement, workforce development and environmental benefits. A key element is the dedication to directing resources towards coral reef restoration, helping to protect local marine ecosystems while supporting the wider goals of sustainable development.
