Sharjah Ladies Club has announced the 11th edition of the Sharjah Ladies Run 2026, continuing its role as the emirate’s leading women-only running event. The annual run returns with a new concept designed to bring women together through sport and shared participation.
This year’s event takes place under the theme “Into the Virtual Universe”, offering a fresh setting that combines physical activity with creativity and enjoyment. The concept aims to create an engaging experience while keeping the focus on health and community.
The run will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohamed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Sharjah Family and Community Council. The event is scheduled for Saturday, 24 January 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Al-Siyouh Ladies Park in Sharjah.
Building on last year’s “Galaxy” theme, “Into the Virtual Universe” introduces a new creative direction that highlights imagination and progress. The theme also supports the Club’s approach to sustainability, with practical steps such as the use of recycled race materials and reduced plastic to promote more responsible habits among participants.
The run reflects Sharjah Ladies Club’s aim to encourage women to stay active and take part in sport within a supportive setting. The 5 km race includes cash prizes for the top three finishers, along with special awards for Emirati participants. The total prize value is AED 21,000, supported by gifts from event sponsors.
Alongside the race, the event programme includes Zumba classes, warm-up sessions and fitness challenges led by instructors from Fitness 180. Participants will also have access to healthy food options and selected offers from Sharjah Ladies Club facilities.
Women and girls aged 12 and above can register through the Sharjah Ladies Club mobile application. The Club will also share training guidance, warm-up routines and event updates through its social media platforms.
Since its establishment, Sharjah Ladies Club has focused on supporting women and children through programmes that offer a safe and encouraging environment. Over time, it has become a recognised centre in the UAE for women’s wellbeing, sport and family-focused activities.
