Admits desire to move to Barcelona..Amrabad’s brother confirms offers from big European clubs | game

Date:

Noureddine Amrabat has admitted that his Moroccan international brother Sofian Amrabat wants to move to the Spanish league, specifically FC Barcelona, but confirmed there are other options in light of the Catalan club’s economic conditions.

Sofiane and his Italian side Fiorentina lost 1-2 in the European Conference League final against England’s West Ham United at the Fortuna Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on Wednesday.

While analyzing the match from inside the stadium for a TV channel, Noureddin replied, “No, he wants to play for the best clubs,” when asked about the possibility of Sobyan Amrabat moving to West Ham United.

And he, in his comments reported in “Marca” newspaper (Marka) Spanish, “His preference is to play in the Spanish league, especially in Barcelona.” And he continued, “He is on the list of players that Barcelona want to sign, but you already know the financial situation of the club.”

Nureddin Amrabat confirmed that his brother Sofyan has several offers from European clubs.

Nuredin’s latest report comes in confirmation of Spanish newspaper “Sport” published a few days ago that several European clubs are looking to add Amrabat in the summer transfer market, led by Manchester United.

He pointed out that Manchester United’s management were very serious in their efforts to secure Amrabat’s signature, dating back to the days of their contacts with their counterpart in Fiorentina.

Amrabad’s contract with the Viola expires at the end of June 2024, so the Italian club will not mind his departure if a good offer comes in next summer to avoid losing the player on a free.

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is trying to sign a defensive midfielder to compensate for the departure of Sergio Busquets, as he has informed the management of the need to focus its efforts on this file.

And “Mercato” confirmed to “Marca” that Sofian Amrabat is one of the names already on Barcelona’s table to sign one of them in the summer.

However, Barcelona’s difficult economic situation is preventing the completion of this deal and the fulfillment of Sofiane Amrabad’s desire to protect the colors of the Blaugrana.

Apart from Amrabat, Martin Zubimendi (Real Sociedad), Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton) and Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) have also been named.

Zupmindi is Xavi’s preferred option, but Real Sociedad are unwilling to negotiate his sale to Barcelona, who would have to pay €60m if they want to sign the player, according to Marca.
