The healthcare group begins with Trellis Hospital in Umm Suqeim, with a long-term commitment to the health of a growing Dubai

Dubai, UAE, 08 October 2026: Al Ghurair has today launched Trellis Health, a healthcare group committed to patient-centric care and long-term health outcomes in the UAE and beyond.

Trellis Health is built around Connected Caring, its promise to patients: care that is coordinated across every stage of a patient’s journey. It is delivered through four commitments: one team around you; experts that put patients first; a simplified patient experience, smart technology to make care easier to access and navigate; and caring beyond today.

Trellis Health represents a long-term commitment to the health of a growing city. Under the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Dubai’s population is projected to reach 5.8 million by 2040, with a quarter more land set aside for health and education facilities. Trellis Health is investing to help meet that growing need, expanding access to high-quality care as the city’s communities grow.

Trellis Health begins with Trellis Hospital in Umm Suqeim, a JCI accredited, 50-bed multi-speciality hospital, with two clinics to follow in Expo City and Jumeirah Village Circle, two of Dubai’s fastest-growing communities, operational by the end of 2026.

John Iossifidis, Group Chief Executive Officer, Al Ghurair, said: ā€œ”For more than six decades, Al Ghurair has been embedded in the infrastructure of everyday life in the UAE, supporting communities through sectors that house people, feed people, move people and educate people. Healthcare is a natural extension of that contribution.

Through Trellis Health, we are making a long-term commitment to improving health outcomes and expanding access to high-quality care. We are committed to providing patients with access to the very best healthcare professionals, because great healthcare begins with great people.

Guided by our promise of Connected Caring, we believe better healthcare begins with putting patients at the centre of every decision, bringing together exceptional healthcare professionals, a simplified patient experience and smart technology around the needs of every patient.ā€

Nasser Al Ghurair, Family Sponsor, Trellis Health said: “As a family business, we have always believed that success carries a responsibility to contribute to the communities we serve. Each generation has a duty to build on what came before and invest in what matters for the future. Trellis Health reflects that responsibility, and our long-term commitment to supporting healthier communities. Healthcare touches every person and every family, and it gives us another meaningful way to support the people and communities of the UAE.”

Trellis Hospital was chosen as the foundation of the network because of its established reputation for care, experienced clinical teams and strong connection to the community. Two further clinics will be open by the end of 2026, with plans for a further hospital and two more clinics, as the network develops.

Trellis Hospital is a multi-speciality hospital in Umm Suqeim offering services including emergency, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine and general surgery, amongst more than 35 specialties.

Trellis Health is backed by Al Ghurair, a long-standing and committed investor in driving progress for industries and society, in the UAE and beyond. For further information on Trellis Health and Trellis Hospital please https://trellishospital.com/.
