Azizi Developments, a major private developer in the UAE, has partnered with Turkish manufacturer Mertoglu to supply outdoor play equipment at Azizi Venice. The project forms part of Azizi’s mixed-use community in Dubai South, built around one of the world’s largest swimmable lagoons.

Mertoglu designs and produces outdoor play systems for residential areas, public spaces and large urban developments. The company is known for strong safety standards, durable materials and designs that suit different age groups. Its equipment supports physical activity, creativity and social play.

Through this partnership, Azizi Developments continues its focus on family-friendly community design. Mertoglu’s play equipment will be installed in outdoor and shared areas across Azizi Venice. These spaces will offer safe and engaging environments for children while supporting active lifestyles. The facilities form part of the wider public space plan for the community.

Mr. Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Group, said: “We are pleased to partner with Mertoglu, a well-established international manufacturer of premium play and recreational equipment. This collaboration aligns with our vision for thoughtfully planned, family-oriented communities and reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging outdoor amenities”.

Azizi Venice includes more than 36,000 homes across over 100 apartment buildings, along with more than 109 luxury mansions. Azizi Developments is acting as master developer and is responsible for all buildings, roads and infrastructure.

The community centres around a large crystal-blue lagoon that surrounds the homes. The area features beaches, an 8 km cycling and jogging track, yoga zones and sports areas. A promenade will host cafés, restaurants and small shops. Landscaped gardens and shaded walkways run throughout the site.

One of the main attractions will be the Cultural District in Dubai South. It will include an opera house, theatre, exhibition hall and performing arts academy. The district aims to reflect Dubai’s diverse cultural scene and attract creatives from around the world.

At the heart of the district will be a 2,500-seat opera house designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. It will feature modern acoustics and stage technology. A 400-seat theatre will support smaller shows and workshops. The exhibition hall will host up to 2,000 guests and display local and international art. A performing arts academy will train young talent.

The development will also include a pedestrian area that stays open-air in winter and becomes climate-controlled in summer. Three-storey buildings will house shops, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Azizi Venice is expected to welcome more than 30,000 visitors each day. It will include two five-star hotels at its main entrances and a boutique hotel on an island within the lagoon. Underground parking will serve visitors to Azizi Boulevard and the opera district.

The community will also have a hospital, nursery, schools and a 4 km landscaped main road lined with shops and restaurants. Many child-focused facilities will be available, including safe play areas. Lighting displays and water fountains will add to the evening atmosphere.

Azizi Developments’ Sales Gallery is located on the 13th floor of the Conrad Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
