The Beyond Pink gathering brought together healthcare leaders, cancer survivors and community supporters for an evening centred on women’s wellness, early detection and empowerment. Hosted at the Grand Hyatt Dubai, the event opened with a networking session followed by a warm welcome from Health Magazine editor Suchitra Bajpai Chaudhary, setting the tone for a meaningful and engaging programme.

The two-hour event featured two panel discussions and was moderated by senior journalist Manju Ramanan. The highlight of the evening was the keynote address delivered by internationally renowned actress and author Lisa Ray, who spoke candidly about her experience with multiple myeloma. She emphasised the importance of including women in all clinical studies and encouraged women to consider Hormone Replacement Therapy as support during menopause. Her inspiring presence reinforced the message that early intervention, awareness and resilience can profoundly transform outcomes. She was honoured with flowers, a plaque and a certificate for her contribution.

Reflecting on the event, Mr. Vignesh S. Unadkat, COO of Thumbay Media, said:
“Women’s health deserves this level of attention and openness. I’m grateful to everyone who showed up, spoke up and helped turn Beyond Pink into a space where learning, support and hope came together.”

The first panel brought together leading medical voices: Dr. Brajesh Mittal (Cardiology), Dr. Shady Lahbib (Nutrition), Dr. Partha Sarathi Das (Reproductive Medicine), Dr. Rini Kuruvilla (Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Dr. Muhammad S. Tahir (Mental Health), and clinical dietitian Ms. Mitun Sarkar. Each expert discussed a vital aspect of women’s wellbeing—heart health, nutrition, fertility, screening, mental wellness and lifestyle balance—offering clear advice women can apply at every life stage.

The second panel highlighted real-life experiences and resilience. Breast cancer warriors Ms. Renuka Parmeshwar Sharma and Ms. Shirin Sarkaree shared their journeys, inspiring the audience with messages of hope and the life-saving impact of early screening. Supporting the discussion, General Surgeon Dr. Verushka Mansukhani outlined the importance of self-checks, timely diagnosis and regular screenings to reduce risks and prevent advanced disease.

Dr. Nadia Choudhry, Founder and Managing Director of NADZ Healthcare, added:
“At NADZ, we believe health is not just about treatments — it is about dignity, care and being present when it matters most. Supporting an initiative like Beyond Pink reflects our commitment to empower every woman with knowledge, compassion and access. We are proud to stand with survivors, experts and community leaders to shine a light on women’s health across the UAE.”

Beyond Pink reinforced a powerful message: women’s health requires visibility, community involvement and open conversation. The event highlighted that wellbeing is essential—not optional—and that every woman should have the guidance and support to protect her health confidently.

The event was organised by Health Magazine and Thumbay Media, sponsored by NADZ Home Healthcare, G.O.A.T Realty, Orchid Fertility and Acacia Garden Centre LLC, with additional support from individual sponsors including Ms. Kusum Dutta, Ms. Roxanne Jaffer, Ms. Parveen Agarwal and Dr. Rini Kuruvilla, all united in championing women’s health.
