American rapper Travis Scott: Don’t ban my concert in Egypt because of misinformation

He is an American rapper Travis ScottHe expressed surprise at the controversy surrounding his July 28 concert in Egypt and insisted he does not practice strange rituals.

In an official statement released Thursday evening, Travis asked the concert organizer to respond to everything that was said about him in the past days: “I am writing to you the slanderous and false statements that called for the cancellation of my concert in Egypt.

Travis proved the sincerity of his position with his concert in Saudi Arabia: “I had an incredible success at the Saudi Arabia concert last April in front of a crowd of 70,000 fans, there was no problem, not even a hurricane.”

During the statement, Travis Scott affirmed his innocence: “I saw the safety concerns regarding my concert and seriousness, especially the unfortunate “Astroworld” tragedy in 2021. Please know that I have performed hundreds of concerts prior to that incident.

He emphasized, “My music doesn’t have any kind of ‘exotic’ music… I’m a huge fan of the Egyptians, their culture and their history, which is why I chose the iconic Pyramids of Giza to play songs on my new album.”

The statement concluded by saying, “Don’t spread misinformation and hatred online that could derail this event that will bring positive and international attention to Egypt, its economy and its magnificent treasures. I urge you to do everything you can to allow the event to take place.”

The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt issued a media statement that the concert had been cancelled, but Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed learned from Syndicate sources that the Syndicate may withdraw in the next few hours and try to allow the concert to resume over the past two days.
