Dubai Chambers Hosts Legal Workshops on Corporate Restructuring and Contract Law

Dubai Chambers has recently held two legal workshops designed to help businesses better understand legislation and compliance obligations across the emirate’s diverse economic landscape.

The first session, conducted in collaboration with PwC Legal Middle East, focused on strategic and practical aspects of corporate restructuring across multiple jurisdictions. Attendees discussed real-life case studies and explored ways to develop effective organisational structures that ensure full legal compliance. The workshop covered a variety of essential topics, including the UAE’s regulatory environment, the difference between the ‘sale of goods’ and the ‘provision of services,’ and the legal considerations of contracting between mainland and free zone entities. It also highlighted optimisation opportunities and potential challenges in corporate structuring from legal, tax, VAT, and customs standpoints.

The second event, titled Simplifying Contract Understanding, was delivered in partnership with TSGG and KLME Law. Acknowledging Dubai’s expanding role as a global commercial centre, the workshop aimed to make legal agreements more accessible by breaking down their core components. Using real-world examples, participants gained a better understanding of contract interpretation and management. The session covered key sections such as the preamble, scope of work, contractual obligations, terms and termination clauses, jurisdictional choices, and dispute resolution frameworks.

These initiatives reaffirm Dubai Chambers’ commitment to empowering the business community through knowledge-sharing and legal education. By providing clear guidance on legislative developments and compliance best practices, the organisation continues to strengthen Dubai’s position as a transparent, competitive, and business-friendly hub.
