Dubai Fitness Challenge Launches Dubai Transform, a 90-Day Wellbeing Programme for Emirati Public Sector Staff

Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) has introduced Dubai Transform, a 90-day wellbeing programme created to support Emirati government employees in building sustainable lifestyle habits. The initiative focuses on long-term health improvement rather than short-term change.

The programme runs until 15 February 2026 and supports 31 participants through a structured plan that covers physical activity, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and daily routines. The aim is to develop workplace wellbeing advocates who can encourage healthier practices across government departments.

Dubai Transform builds on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to position Dubai as one of the world’s most active cities. The programme extends the reach of Dubai Fitness Challenge by focusing on the public sector and reinforcing a culture of sustained wellbeing in government service.

Participants receive tailored fitness plans, access to gym facilities, and health and biomarker assessments at two points during the programme. They also take part in nutrition consultations, receive meal planning support, and use wearable devices to monitor daily activity.

Weekly coaching sessions offer guidance and accountability throughout the programme. Participants have also joined Dubai Fitness Challenge’s 30×30 activities, including Dubai Run presented by DP World, Dubai Yoga, and sessions at Fitness Villages, allowing them to experience a wide range of fitness options available across the city during November.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: “This programme extends our commitment beyond the annual 30-day challenge to create sustained, measurable impact. By empowering Emirati government employees with the tools and support they need over 90 days, we’re investing in the future wellbeing of our community. These participants will become living proof that lasting change is possible, inspiring their colleagues, families, and communities to embrace active lifestyles.”

Since its launch in 2017, Dubai Fitness Challenge has engaged more than 16 million participants, with over 3 million taking part in 2025 alone. Dubai Transform strengthens this progress by developing wellbeing leaders within government organisations, showing how individual action can influence wider community health.
