Dubai’s favourite summer festival brings endless ways to stay active this season with a series of indoor mall runs designed for all ages and abilities – perfect for friends, families, and fitness fans alike

High-energy mornings of movement, prizes, and fun for everyone kicks off on 28 June at Dubai Hills Mall, followed by City Centre Mirdif on 6 July, Ibn Battuta Mall on 13 July, Mall of the Emirates on 3 August, Wafi Mall on 10 August, before concluding with Dubai Festival City Mall on 31 August

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 26 June 2025: Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 presents an adrenaline-pumping line-up of 6 indoor mall runs at the city’s top shopping destinations, promising a summer well spent with movement, music, prizes, and endless fun.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) as part of a packed DSS programme of thousands of things to do citywide, the inclusive community events welcome everyone regardless of age, ability, or skill levels – be it beginners on a quest for a fitter future or seasoned athletes looking to beat their personal best.

The action kicks off on 28 June at Dubai Hills Mall with an exclusive DSS Indoor Run powered by Skechers. Participants can challenge themselves, their friends, or families with the choice of 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km routes that wind through the luxury mall, complete with upbeat music, aid stations, medals, certificates and refreshments. The top three finishers in each category also take home trophies and vouchers.

The action continues with the #ActiveSummer run taking place on 6 July at City Centre Mirdif, promoted by Dubai Sports Council and RX Coffee and organised by Peloton Events. Participants aged 13 years and above can choose from 3 km or 5 km courses in various categories, while children between 4 to 15 years can sprint an 850 m lap in two age brackets. All finishers earn a medal, certificate, and refreshments, while category winners receive thrilling cash prizes, gift vouchers, and bonus SHARE points. Registration is now open, starting at AED 47.25.

Mid-season excitement continues at Ibn Battuta Mall on 13 July, bringing a morning of movement, music, and medals to one of Dubai’s most iconic malls. Runners can choose between 2.5 km, 5 km, or 10 km distances. All participants will receive a branded t-shirt and finishers medal, with podium presentations for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each age category. Registration is now open, with early bird tickets starting from AED 85.

The momentum continues with additional runs at Mall of the Emirates on 3 August and Wafi Mall on 10 August – both organised by Dubai Sports Council and managed by Peloton Events. Both promise a fun, family-friendly environment and a welcome break from the summer heat in fully air-conditioned spaces.

The final indoor mall run wraps up the season at Dubai Festival City Mall on 31 August, promising a bustling atmosphere packed with music, cheering supporters, and exciting giveaways.

With thousands of things to do, see, and experience every day, DSS 2025 transforms the city into the ultimate summer playground. From unbeatable savings to only-in-Dubai moments, this is a season made for exploring, saving, and making the most of a valued-packed summer well spent.
