ABU DHABI, September 18 / WAM / The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in its regular meeting today, reviewed the financial budget for 2024, discussed business developments and plans to develop the sports sector in the emirate. Nuaimi, and Dr. Omniyat Mohammed Al Hajri, Abu Dhabi Sports Council Secretary General Arif Hamad Al Awani and Director Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Executive Director of Support Services Department, Ahmed Al Hosani, Executive Director Strategic Planning Department, Director of Organizational Development and Quality Department Noora Al Menhali and Strategic Planning and Performance Department Directed by Hamda Al Mansoori.
The Board of Directors reviewed the general financial budget for the coming year 2024, which reflects the strong performance of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and its impact on the sports sector, to achieve the benefit of the citizen, support the sports sector and ensure that the best services are provided to the athletes, residents and visitors and according to the needs. A keen interest in improving infrastructure is the next step in achieving the emirate’s ambitious growth ambitions.
They also reviewed the strategic and operational performance report for the first half of 2023, the performance indicators report, the priorities for the projects for the next year 2024 and various statistics and studies related to sports activities in Abu Dhabi.
The meeting presented a report on the Abu Dhabi-hosted World Championships, which, in light of the wide reception received from international sports federations, reflected the emirate’s ambition to be one of the most important global destinations. and companies.
The Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council stressed the importance of regularly organizing community events, increasing the number of participants and encouraging all segments of society to practice sports activities and improve physical fitness. Diseases, making sports a part of everyday life and creating a sports environment that contributes to raising awareness of the importance of sports, the number of participants in social events and sports in the first half of this year reached about 124 thousand participants.
