Four expats each win Dh25,000 in Big Ticket weekly e-draw results

Four participants in Big Ticket’s third weekly e-draw for August took home Dh25,000 each, with winners drawn from Bangladesh, India and the Philippines. Each ticket for the weekly e-draw costs Dh150 inclusive of VAT, according to Big Ticket’s draw rules and procedures.

The four wins come from a draw series whose monthly grand prize stands at Dh15 million, as listed on the Big Ticket Winners Club page for Series 290. Winning tickets for the weekly e-draw are selected by an independently certified random number generator, with results published on the Big Ticket website and announced during the live show.

Big Ticket weekly e-draw winners: who won and how

Kamrul Idrish Miah, a 40-year-old driver from Bangladesh, has lived in Al Ain for 17 years and participates each month as part of a group. He chose his winning ticket on instinct alone. ‘I chose the number because I had a good feeling about it. When I received the winning call, I was so happy. I couldn’t believe that I had finally won,’ he said.

Kamrul said the prize will be split among the group. His share, he added, will go towards investing in a business and building something for his family’s future.

Jay Michael Peralta Gines, a 43-year-old from Luzon in the Philippines, works in operations support and has lived in Abu Dhabi with his wife for 17 years. He has joined a group of eight participants each month since 2023. His ticket number combined three personal dates: his wife’s birthday, their wedding anniversary and his birth month.

‘I combined three dates that are very special to me, my wife’s birthday, our anniversary and my birth month. I felt there was something meaningful about that combination, so I decided to go with it,’ Jay said.

The winning call came late at night and Jay almost left it unanswered. ‘I almost didn’t answer because it was so late, but when I heard Richard’s voice, I knew it was Big Ticket. I was overjoyed when he told me that we had won.’

Two more Big Ticket weekly e-draw winners from the same draw

Mohammed Mamun, a 31-year-old businessman from Bangladesh, has lived in Ajman with his brother for six years and buys tickets each month as part of a group of 20. He initially dismissed the winning call as spam and only confirmed the result by checking the draw on YouTube himself.

The group had picked their number at random, making the win his first through Big Ticket.

Binod Sebastian, a 41-year-old nurse from Kerala, India, has lived in Abu Dhabi with his family for 10 years and participates monthly in a group of five. One of his friends selected the winning ticket, and the call came as a surprise to Binod. He said the prize money will go towards daily expenses, and the group plans to keep buying tickets each month.

The third weekly e-draw follows the same format as earlier August draws, in which four winners from Kenya and India each received Dh25,000 in the first draw, and a Kerala-born nurse named Manikantan claimed Dh25,000 in the second.

The Series 290 monthly grand draw, with its Dh15 million top prize, is conducted at a Big Ticket studio in Abu Dhabi, where winning tickets are drawn manually from a physical raffle drum.
