Friendlies, signings and departures… How have Juventus prepared for the new season?

A few hours separate Juventus from the start of the new football season of the Italian Serie A (2022-2023).

It’s worth noting that Juventus activated a buyout clause in striker Federico Chiesa’s contract from compatriot Fiorentina for €40m after spending the last two seasons on loan at the club.

Leaving Juventus before the 2022-2023 season

A number of players have left Juventus during the current summer mercado, led by captain Giorgio Chiellini, who moved to Los Angeles on a free contract after his contract with Juve expired.

Paulo Dybala to Rome, Italy, Federico Bernardeschi to Toronto, Canada (to compete in the American League), Douglas Costa to Los Angeles Galaxy, and Aaron Ramsey to Nice, France.

The “old lady” club received 67 million euros for the sale of Mathias de Ligt to Bayern Munich and 20 million euros after Merih Demiral’s permanent transfer to Italian Atalanta.

Juventus friendlies ahead of the 2022-2023 season

Juventus played 5 friendlies in preparation for the new season, starting with a win against Guadalajara (2-0) and a draw with Barcelona (2-2).
