GEMS School Management and CoolSide Development Outline Plans for New International School in Limassol

GEMS School Management (GSM), the advisory division of GEMS Education, has announced that it is exploring the development of a major new international school in Limassol, Cyprus, in collaboration with CoolSide Development (“CoolSide”), a prominent regional real estate developer.

Under the terms of a non-binding agreement, CoolSide is expected to retain majority ownership of the project, while GSM will lead on operational oversight, school management capabilities, and the integration of its established global education systems, shaped through more than sixty years of expertise.

Planned for Limassol’s sought-after eastern district of Pyrgos, with direct proximity to the coastline, the school is intended to serve the city’s fast-growing community of both Cypriot and expatriate families. With many of Limassol’s leading schools currently operating at or near capacity, the proposed campus aims to support increasing demand for high-quality international education.

The school will be developed in partnership with P.L. Property Gallery Developers and Constructors Ltd as part of a broader integrated residential project within the area. The campus is expected to feature contemporary architecture, purpose-built learning environments, and a curriculum designed to reflect global best practice in education.

Robert Tarn CBE, Managing Director of GSM, said:

“This partnership marks an important step in GSM’s growth strategy and reinforces our mission to bring outstanding education to new markets. Cyprus offers a compelling opportunity, a stable economy, a vibrant expatriate community, and a clear demand for quality schooling.”

Maxim Nazimok, Group Managing Director at CoolSide, added:

“We are delighted to explore this collaboration with GSM to create a truly world-class school in Limassol. This project reflects our shared commitment to excellence and our vision to deliver prime location developments that enrich communities and create lasting value.”

The collaboration positions GSM as a continued partner of choice for investors and organisations seeking to establish or enhance leading education institutions worldwide.

This announcement describes an intended collaboration between GEMS School Management (GSM) and CoolSide and remains non-binding, implying no legal or financial obligations for either party at this stage.
