  • Opening scheduled for June 2027, IntercityHotel Riyadh Al Rayaan will comprise 216 modern guestrooms, a full-day dining venue, a ballroom, eight meeting spaces, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a swimming pool
  • Guests will also enjoy the brand’s signature lobby café, The Breakery
  • This development marks the seventh IntercityHotel in the Middle East, reinforcing H World International’s regional pipeline

H World International, a global leader in hospitality management, has confirmed the signing of IntercityHotel Riyadh Al Rayaan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Representing the seventh IntercityHotel under the brand in the Middle East, the announcement marks a key step in the company’s expansion across the region.

Opening in Riyadh in June 2027, the hotel is being developed in partnership with Wahat Sudair Hotels Company Limited. Designed with a focus on comfort and practicality, the property will feature 216 contemporary guestrooms, complemented by a variety of dining options. These include an extensive all-day restaurant and the flagship lobby café, The Breakery, which blends an urban energy with the brand’s German heritage. The hotel’s facilities will also extend to a ballroom, eight flexible meeting rooms, a gym, and a pool.

Siegfried Nierhaus, Vice President and Head of Development, Middle East, India & Africa H World International, commented: “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been a driving force in our expansion strategy and an important source market with significant growth potential. We are committed to addressing the evolving needs of our discerning guests, and the launch of IntercityHotel Riyadh Al Rayaan, our second IntercityHotel in Riyadh, underscores the confidence and trust placed in our brands in the region. As our seventh IntercityHotel in the Middle East, the new hotel will showcase both the strength of our partnerships and our commitment to delivering a harmonious fusion of young and fresh aesthetics, coupled with unparalleled functionality and long-term commitment to shaping Riyadh’s hospitality landscape.”

The addition of IntercityHotel Riyadh Al Rayaan reflects H World International’s broader regional growth strategy, which prioritises expanding its footprint with new signings to meet the increasing demand from business and leisure travellers. The brand already has a strong presence in the region, with properties including IntercityHotel Bawshar Muscat, IntercityHotel Salalah, IntercityHotel Nizwa and IntercityHotel Muscat in Oman, IntercityHotel Dubai Jaddaf Waterfront in the UAE, and IntercityHotel Riyadh Malaz in KSA.

This year also represents a landmark for H World Group as it celebrates two decades in the hospitality sector. The Group now operates more than 12,000 hotels and over 1.1 million rooms across 19 countries, positioning it among the largest and fastest-growing hotel groups worldwide. Its loyalty programme, H Rewards, continues to grow as one of the leading global schemes, with a membership base exceeding 288 million.
