The second stage of the President’s Cup for Jiu-Jitsu will commence this Friday at Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi. The event has generated strong anticipation from athletes and supporters, with the participation of the UAE’s leading clubs and academies.

The tournament will feature exciting matches in the 18+ division, where competitors will aim to collect maximum points to boost their clubs’ chances of securing the nation’s most prestigious title.

His Excellency Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the importance of the event, describing it as the premier domestic competition. He said, “This tournament crowns the combined efforts of the Federation and the clubs in preparing a generation of exceptional athletes capable of representing the UAE on the world stage.”

Heading into the second round, Al Wahda Club tops the standings, but both Baniyas and Al Ain remain determined to close the gap, fuelled by strong motivation and a clear ambition to reinforce their positions in the Cup contest.

Mahmoud El Sayed, Director of the Jiu-Jitsu Academy at Al Wahda Club, commented, “Our goal is to maintain our lead in the President’s Cup, and we are going into the competition with a winning mentality. We are certain that tactical discipline and fighting spirit will keep us at the top.”

The second round is expected to attract large audiences, consistent with previous editions of the President’s Cup, which has established itself as a favourite destination for sports enthusiasts of all ages and backgrounds.
