The “City Treasures” initiative has honored 15 facilities in the capital, Abu Dhabi

Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi today unveiled at a special ceremony the list of 15 businesses honored as part of the “City Treasures” initiative for 2021.

The initiative highlights business service facilities such as cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops, tailors, clothing stores, perfumes, jewelry, photo studios and other stores that provide direct services to the public, and have been very popular for over two decades.

Shops honored by the initiative began operating in Abu Dhabi long before the new millennium, and today they are often seen as an important part of their childhood and daily life by those who saw its beginnings and the younger generation, and they stand as clear witnesses. Glowing texts in the general memory of Abu Dhabi and in the urban and social setting of the residential and commercial neighborhoods of the Emirate in general.

Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi will enhance these facilities as sites filled with fragrant memories of various spectra of society, through traditional and digital advertising channels.

This year’s list of business treasures in the “Treasures of the City” initiative includes: Al Aqsa Sweets, Al Ibrahimi Restaurant, Al Raica Dates, Al Safa Carpets, Al Sultan Bakeries and Markets, Publications, Corniche Automotive Markets, Bakery Jashanmal National Company, Zahrat Lebanon Bakery, Tripoli Sweets, Zahrat Lebanon & Grills, Bootafish Restaurant, Shop Owner, Tiyagi & Al Tafra Restaurant.

On this occasion, Mohammed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Head of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism, said: “Through this initiative, we aim to highlight the economic, social and cultural” treasures “that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi will accept. Today, they are part of the city’s history and culture, an investment that serves our community and the economic growth and development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and have become an integral part of the Emirate’s memory, promoting their sustainable development for the benefit of current and future generations. The list of recipients of the “City Treasures” Award for 2021 represents a wide variety of stores and companies. With the public on an Emirate daily basis, they build relationships that connect members of the community with the most important and primitive business activities, who love and trust their services and reputation because of their long and long history. .

In support of the strategic objectives of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, this year’s prestigious facilities and shops will be highlighted as part of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism’s tourism promotion efforts to introduce residents and both. Visitors with “Treasures of the City” and its glorious experiences and services.

Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi has set up a panel of experts working on reviewing candidate files and selecting candidates according to precise criteria.

The City Treasures initiative is an annual initiative and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi will open the way for residents to suggest their favorite amenities at upcoming sessions when registration begins.
