US State Department spokesman Ned Price denied that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said on Monday that a message had reached Tehran via Iraq from Washington that the US was ready to renew the nuclear deal with Iran.

A threatening message to Tehran

“They have not sent any message through Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to his Iranian foreign minister,” Ned Price said, stressing that they had not “updated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action,” according to a report by Iran’s Fars news agency. Agenda from Months”.

Price added in response to a question about this news during the press conference, I cannot answer this question, only Iranian officials can answer why they continue to lie, and Iranian officials can repeat their words as much as they want, but this does not change the truth behind the story. .

Revitalizing the Joint Action Programme

Commenting on the matter, he explained, “Revival of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has not been on the agenda for months, and we have not sent any message to Iran. I cannot say why the Iranian authorities are trying to deceive the world.”

According to the US State Department’s media website, in response to a question about Amir Abdullahian’s speech to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Price said, “The human rights situation in Iran is deplorable, and the presence of that country’s foreign minister at the Human Rights Council reminds us of the hypocrisy of the Iranian regime.”

Before leaving Tehran for Geneva, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said the Iraqi foreign minister had received a “message” from the United States that the US side was “ready” to renew the nuclear deal.

Without specifying the content of this “letter,” Abdallahian said the Iranian government has “always welcomed the path of diplomacy and dialogue” and “has not distanced itself” from negotiations.

It is noteworthy that Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian said yesterday that Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussain is carrying a message from US officials regarding negotiations to revive the nuclear deal.

In an interview with Al-Alam channel, Amir Abdullahiyan said: “Mr. Fuad Hussain, who returned from his trip to Washington, carried the message that the American side is ready to reach an agreement, and we always welcome the diplomatic path. We do not deviate from talks and negotiations.”

We are ready to work within the framework of the talks held so far in Vienna and the messages sent through the mediator between us and the US side, the informal document on the nuclear decision, etc. Agreement and return of all parties to their obligations under the Agreement.”

Abdullahian’s claim that the message was sent from the United States via Iraq to Tehran comes as the United States announced that negotiations to renew the nuclear deal are not currently a priority for the White House.
