This autumn, sweet indulgence meets streaming entertainment as Gelateria La Romana UAE launches four exclusive, limited-edition gelato flavours in collaboration with Netflix. Inspired by some of the platform’s most popular series, these special creations will be available from September to November for guests to enjoy.

The seasonal collection includes:

  • Netflix Popcorn & Chill – a caramelised popcorn swirl capturing the delight of your favourite Netflix stories.
  • Stranger Banana Split – a fun tribute to the adventures of Stranger Things.
  • Dalgona Biscuit – crunchy sweetness inspired by Squid Game.
  • Gum Gum Choco Berry – a rich chocolate and berry combination celebrating ONE PIECE.

“Gelato is about moments and stories,” said Yehia El Kara, Operations Manager, La Romana UAE. “With Netflix, we’ve captured flavours that bring the excitement of these series into a scoop, right in time for the fifth and final season of Stranger Things.”

Crafted using La Romana’s signature artisanal Italian techniques, the new collection is available at all seven La Romana locations across the UAE, offering dessert lovers an unmissable experience this season.

About La Romana Gelateria

La Romana Gelateria traces its origins back to 1947 in the historic centre of Rimini, Italy. It was named in honor of the founder’s daughter, and soon became beloved for its fresh, natural gelato crafted with purpose and passion. Vito Zucchi, the family patriarch, shaped the brand with creative spirit, selecting simple, high-quality ingredients and perfecting flavors that remain in the shops today. His sons, Ivano and Massimiliano, continue that legacy by maintaining the authentic recipes and artisanal.

Presence in the UAE

Today, La Romana Gelateria UAE proudly operates 7 locations; 6 in Dubai and 1 in Abu Dhabi with two additional outlets planned to open soon in Abu Dhabi.

Dubai Locations:

Dubai Hills Mall, Nad Al Sheba Mall, Nakheel Mall, Mirdif City Centre, Bluewaters Island, Dubai Festival City Mall

Abu Dhabi Locations:

The Galleria on Al Maryah Island, Yas Mall (opening in Nov 2025), Al Jimi Mall (opening in Dec 2025)

Gelato Philosophy

  • Only natural ingredients; no artificial additives, just the finest elements in every batch.

  • Freshly made in-store every three hours to guarantee quality and texture.

  • Each outlet houses its own laboratorio (Italian for gelato laboratory), ensuring artisanal excellence at every location.
