BFL Group Co-founder, Toufic Kreidieh, Receives Honorary Doctorate from Lebanese American University To Acknowledge His Success and Impact on Regional Retail Sector
Milestone recognition celebrates Kreidieh’s legacy in shaping modern retail and entrepreneurship across the region
Toufic Kreidieh, Co-founder and Executive Chairman of Brands For Less (BFL) Group, Receives Honorary Doctorate from Lebanese American University in recognition of His Success and Impact on the Regional Retail Sector.
The ceremony, held during LAU’s 2025 graduation in Beirut, was attended by senior university leadership, prominent public figures, and emerging graduates from across the region. The recognition marks a key milestone in Toufic’s career, celebrating both his entrepreneurial vision and the social impact of BFL Group’s growth story.
Commenting on the honour, Toufic Kreidieh said: “It’s a privilege to receive this recognition from LAU, a university I deeply respect and where I began my own academic journey. As an alumnus, this moment holds special meaning for me. This isn’t just a personal milestone, but a reflection of the mission we set out with at BFL Group: to rethink traditional retail and to create value that resonates with people’s lives. I’m proud of how far we’ve come and excited for what’s next.”
Under Toufic’s leadership, BFL Group has grown from a single office in Beirut into a billion-dollar off-price retail powerhouse with operations across the GCC and Southeast Asia. The brand continues to lead with purpose, combining affordability, innovation, and community engagement at its core.
The honorary degree was presented during LAU’s 2025 graduation ceremony, held in Beirut earlier this month.
