Russian consumer goods company Global Dent is pushing into the UAE oral care market, bringing three product lines that position daily dental hygiene as part of a wider preventive wellness routine. The move comes as the UAE’s oral care segment reached Dh727 million in 2025, growing 5 per cent year on year.
A wellness economy that reaches beyond spas
The UAE’s total wellness economy is valued at $40.8 billion, according to the Global Wellness Institute’s 2025 report, produced in partnership with developer Aldar. The economy grew 14.3 per cent between 2019 and 2024, the fastest rate in the MENA region. The UAE ranks first in MENA for wellness real estate ($1.4 billion in 2024), spa revenue ($2.9 billion) and personal care and beauty ($14.8 billion).
That growth is no longer confined to hotels and clinics. Residents are spending more on pharmacy shelves, e-commerce baskets and home-care routines, and oral care is following the same pattern. Toothpaste commands roughly 46 per cent of the Middle East and Africa oral care market in 2025, while mouthwashes and rinses are among the fastest-growing sub-categories, according to Mordor Intelligence. The broader Middle East oral care segment was valued at $2.9 billion as of 2024, per a Ken Research report covering the 2019–2030 period.
Globally, the oral care market stood at $34.76 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $51.25 billion by 2034 at a compound annual growth rate of 4.51 per cent, according to Fortune Business Insights.
Three brands, one system of care
Global Dent enters the UAE with three distinct brands. GLOBAL WHITE covers home teeth whitening, with a range that includes toothpastes, whitening strips, gels, remineralising products, foams, mouthwashes, flosses and sprays. The premise is that whitening becomes a regular habit rather than an occasional clinic visit.
WATERDENT focuses on everyday prevention: gum and tooth health, and maintaining the natural balance of the oral microflora. The third brand, Lactosterine, goes further into biology. Its OptiBiome technology uses zinc lactate and prebiotics to support a balanced oral microbiome, aiming to protect beneficial bacteria rather than eliminate all of them. The approach mirrors what consumers already encounter in skincare and digestive health products.
Global Dent has five years of export experience and currently supplies Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria and CIS markets. The company plans to expand into MENA and Southeast Asia and open a warehouse zone in the UAE to support regional distribution across the GCC.
The ‘Made in Russia’ certification
Global Dent is presenting its products under the national ‘Made in Russia’ brand, a certification programme that covers more than 2,400 companies and over 31,700 certified product positions, according to the programme’s official portal. The portal is available in six languages including Arabic and English, and lists products across 21 foreign marketplaces.
A Gulf News report on the programme cited a slightly higher figure of 2,500 enterprises and 35,000 products; the official portal’s figures are used here as the primary source.
Other Russian wellness brands moving into international markets alongside Global Dent include Librederm, which focuses on science-oriented skincare, and Geltek, which works at the intersection of cosmetology and professional care.
Global Dent’s planned UAE warehouse zone is the next concrete step for the company’s Gulf expansion, creating a logistics base for longer-term GCC partnerships.
