Dubai Ride on 1 November and Dubai Run on 22 November: routes, start times and bib collection

By GST 2 min read

Dubai Ride takes place on Sunday 1 November 2026 and Dubai Run on Sunday 22 November, the two road events of the 10th Dubai Fitness Challenge, which runs from 31 October to 29 November. Both are free, but every participant must register in advance on the Dubai Fitness Challenge website and collect a bib.

Dubai Ride, 1 November

The sixth Dubai Ride starts at 6am. According to the official event page, cyclists choose between two routes:

  • Sheikh Zayed Road Route, 12km: recommended for experienced cyclists, passing the Museum of the Future, Dubai Water Canal and Burj Khalifa. Start locations are listed at the Museum of the Future, Al Satwa, Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay and Lower Financial Street.
  • Downtown Family Route, 4km: a flat loop past Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera and Burj Khalifa, suitable for all ages and abilities.

The ride is not a timed race, and riders should keep to the 25km/h speed limit on the routes. During registration, riders confirm that every bike in their group works and has a helmet and lights. Parents or legal guardians can register up to three children, and accept the event waiver on behalf of anyone under 18. Families, solo riders and People of Determination can all take part, with dedicated entry points for adapted bikes, handcycles and tandems. The registration page says the free T-shirt allocation has run out, but riders can still register.

Once registered, riders collect their bib number from the Dubai Municipality 30×30 Fitness Village at Zabeel Park. Ride bibs can be collected there from 28 to 31 October, with collection times given during registration, according to the official FAQs. Friends or family can collect a bib on a rider’s behalf by showing a valid registration QR code.

Dubai Run, 22 November

Dubai Run starts at 6.30am. The start line closes at 8am and the event finishes at 9am, according to the Dubai Run page. Both routes begin on Sheikh Zayed Road near the Museum of the Future:

  • 5km: finishes on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard, near Dubai Mall.
  • 10km: continues along Sheikh Zayed Road to the Gate Building in DIFC, near Emirates Towers.

Registration is compulsory, and runners under 18 need a parent or legal guardian to accept the waiver for them. The organisers say bibs are collected from the Zabeel Park Fitness Village and that anyone without a bib will not be allowed to take part. Dubai Run drew more than 307,000 participants in 2025, up from 70,000 in 2019, according to the Government of Dubai Media Office. Dubai Ride had more than 40,000 cyclists in 2025.

Paddle, yoga and the Fitness Villages

Registration for Dubai Stand Up Paddle at Hatta Dam on 7 and 8 November has closed. Sessions run from 8am to 5.30pm on both days, kayaking can be booked on site on a first come, first served basis, and children under six cannot take part. The challenge closes on 29 November with Dubai Yoga, which has Family, Ladies Only and General zones, chosen at registration, and an accessible zone.

For the full 30 days, three free Fitness Villages will offer free classes, dedicated ladies’ areas and facilities for basketball, football, padel and volleyball, alongside more than 23 Community Fitness Hubs.
