Riyadh is preparing to host the Development Finance Conference “MOMENTUM” from 9 to 11 December 2025, held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center and convened under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Chairman of the National Development Fund (NDF). Organised by the NDF, the event will be presented under the theme “Leading Development Transformation.”

H.E. Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri, Vice Chairman of the NDF Board of Directors, voiced his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for extending his patronage to the conference. He noted that the gathering reflects the Kingdom’s continuing national transformation and acts as a vital forum for collaboration, partnership-building, and strategic dialogue within the development finance landscape.

H.E. Al-Tuwaijri stated: “MOMENTUM 2025 is more than a conference; it represents a new pathway for comprehensive and sustainable development. It aims to maximize developmental impact across society and the environment through a thriving and sustainable economy, while showcasing the Kingdom’s position on the global stage as a leading destination for development transformation.”

The event is designed to drive forward the strategic priorities of the NDF and its network of development funds and banks by enriching the sector, improving its operational efficiency, and strengthening its capability to support national objectives. It additionally aims to advance alignment across institutions to ensure an enduring and positive impact on both society and the wider economy.

MOMENTUM serves as a national platform demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s commitment to sustainable progress. The conference highlights the NDF’s role in steering development transformation and enhancing cooperation between development funds and banks. It further provides an important space for exchanging insights and shaping the future direction of development finance in line with Vision 2030.

A core focus of the event is the emphasis on the contribution of the private sector and SMEs within the development finance ecosystem, recognising their importance as engines of economic expansion, innovation, and employment growth, in alignment with Vision 2030.

The conference will host members of the royal family, senior officials, CEOs, global leaders, and sector experts. More than 100 speakers from over 120 national and international bodies will participate, underscoring the conference’s significance as a central gathering aligned with the Kingdom’s vision to build a strong and integrated financing framework that supports major developmental ambitions.

By organising MOMENTUM, the NDF reinforces its status as a principal enabler of development and as a leading institution shaping the development finance sector through its 12 affiliated development funds and banks.

The conference also contributes to strengthening coordination between development entities and international development finance bodies. It aims to enhance cooperation across public and private sector leaders to ensure the most effective use of resources in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
