Sharjah has officially concluded its 54th Eid Al Etihad (Union Day) celebrations as of Tuesday, marking the end of a diverse programme that highlighted the UAE’s cultural heritage, its ongoing development journey, and the spirit of community and coexistence. The events drew in citizens, residents and international visitors alike.
Held over a 14-day period from 19 November to 2 December, the celebrations featured more than 250 activities across the emirate. These events attracted over 233,000 participants, reflecting the distinctive cultural identity and character of Sharjah’s cities and regions.
Visitors enjoyed an array of marine shows, land parades, hands-on workshops and heritage-themed displays. Technology zones featuring robotics and innovative smart experiences led by Emirati youth also formed a major attraction, alongside musical performances and traditional arts.
A strong focus was placed on sustainability, with many activities incorporating eco-friendly materials and workshops designed to raise environmental awareness among young people. Guests were also invited to discover Emirati craftsmanship and cultural arts, creating a meaningful connection between tradition and contemporary creativity. The varied programme encouraged cultural exchange and made the festivities an enriching blend of heritage, learning, arts, technology and community engagement.
